Katie Throne is Broker/Owner of Finch House Properties, a locally-owned, boutique brokerage specializing in residential sales, investments and property management. She has 19 years of experience working with buyers and sellers in the Athens, GA, area. She loves getting to know clients and working with them to find the best fit for them in Athens and its surrounding areas. She brings a vast knowledge of Athens and what makes its neighborhoods unique. Katie graduated from UGA in 1998 and has a background in journalism and marketing but returned in 2002 after living in other cities and deciding that she couldn't shake Athens.
"I love everything about Athens – the music scene, great restaurants and the local characters. It has a very unique and wonderful small-town feel but with a lot of culture that you sometimes only find in big cities. We have that here in Athens but with none of the headaches that come with living in a large city. That's why I am so passionate about protecting this great little place and seeing its neighborhoods flourish."
In addition to nearly two decades of traditional residential sales and marketing experience, Katie is also a Property Manager and currently manages more than 75 in-town rental properties. Melanie started her floral business six years ago and is a wonderful source not only for flower arrangements, but she will come to your home and offer landscape planning or create beautiful containers to give your home curb appeal! Melanie helped me with my personal home landscaping and I get notes in my mailbox all the time asking who I used for landscaping!
April has worked in interior design and home organization since 2021. She is unbelievable at organization and works quickly. She can help you declutter, as well as, stage your home prior to listing it. If you need help once you make your home purchase, she can assist with interior design, as well. She has helped me on numerous occasions and my busy clients are always grateful for her help!
